Expands International Escrow Services to Toronto,
Canada AUSTIN, TEXAS
(September 12, 2002) – Austin, Texas-based
Guard-IT Corporation, a leading innovator in
software escrow and verification services, has
announced a formal expansion into international
software and intellectual property escrow
services by and through its newly registered
agent in Toronto, Ontario.

expansion will not only accommodate Canada’s
vibrant IT sector, but also appeal to other
international clients who would prefer to escrow
their source code or other materials in
Canada,” said Jim Ford, Guard-IT’s

Guard-IT
has retained the law firm of Gowling Lafleur
Henderson, LLP to support its international
escrow transactions. Gowlings intellectual
property attorney Brad Limpert is liaison to
Guard-IT.

templates for escrow agreements to be
administered specifically under Canadian
jurisdiction. For its international clients,
Guard-IT will maintain secured vault deposits of
software source code, data, intellectual property
and other escrow materials in Toronto.
Guard-IT
secures software source code, proprietary data
and intellectual property by implementing and
administering third-party escrow agreements for
technology developers and their licensees.
Guard-IT also provides independent testing and
verification services for escrow materials and
other technology products.
