Acquires Fidex Americas Corporation Escrow
Accounts & Assets AUSTIN,
TEXAS (October 1, 2002) – Guard-IT
Corporation, a leading innovator in software and
intellectual property escrow services, has
acquired the escrow accounts and business assets
of Sandpoint, ID-based Fidex Americas
Corporation. Financial details were not
disclosed.
Guard-IT
assumed the administration of all Fidex Americas
escrow accounts and its website on September 25.
“We
are excited about extending our reach in the
escrow marketplace and we look forward to working
with these new clients. In our capacity as an
independent agent and administrator, we will be
honoring the existing escrow agreements and rates
to make the transition as smooth as possible for
them,” said Guard-IT founder and CEO Jim
Ford.
Guard-IT
has retained Fidex Americas Corporation founder
and president Steven Olson for an interim period
to assist in the transition.

gratifying that our successor, Guard-IT, is
equally committed to its customers," Olson
said.
Guard-IT
Corporation secures software source code,
proprietary data and intellectual property by
implementing and administering third-party escrow
agreements for technology developers and their
licensees. Guard-IT also offers paperless account
administration online and independent software
testing and verification services for its escrow
materials and other technology products.
