Worldwide Leader In Document Management Software Is First To Offer Vital Back-Up Service To Its Customers Via Guard-IT Online Registration

AUSTIN, TEXAS (July 1, 2003) – Guard-IT, the international software and intellectual property escrow service, has been selected by DocuWare Corporation for a special new program to expand vital
backup services to any DocuWare customer.

Participants also automatically are eligible for special rates and help in setting up a Guard-IT Source Code Protection Plan (sm) for their own customers (www.guard-it.com).

Under the Guard-IT plan, DocuWare licensees are guaranteed access to DocuWare source code and vital system information — thus minimizing reinstallation, retraining or replacement delays— should DocuWare's normal operations be unexpectedly interrupted."

DocuWare licensees can simply enroll online and rest assured that their risk is greatly reduced, as they become third-party beneficiaries to our escrow agreement with DocuWare," said Guard- IT founder and CEO Jim Ford.

Through the Guard-IT protection plan, DocuWare's licensees also will receive semi-annual status reports and confirmation of all source code updates. Licensees can purchase copies of the detailed escrow terms and technical verification reports pertaining to their DocuWare agreement as well.

Enrollment is available to DocuWare users worldwide, and Guard-IT has created an online enrollment page exclusively for their use.

DocuWare automatically updates the source code held by Guard-IT, thus assuring the latest building blocks for its products are always kept secure and confidential for the benefit of its enrolled Licensees.
